The Ministry of Municipal Affairs is working to finalize the content of “Supplementary Standard SB-10: Energy Efficiency Requirements”. This standard includes ways to meet the energy efficiency requirements for buildings in the Building Code that will come into effect as of January 1, 2017. To assist with this work, the Ministry has shared a draft of this document with CEO and is seeking your input on the proposed changes.

The Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is seeking feedback from Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) on its technical discussion paper for the proposed new EASR regulation to change the regulatory review process and requirements for air and noise emissions for all but high risk or more complex activities. CEO encourages member firms to offer constructive comments for submission of an industry position to the Ministry.
