Willis Chipman Award Winner: R.V. Anderson Associates Limited.
Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) hosted its 15th Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards (OCEA) Gala on April 7, 2017 at the International Centre. CEO recognized 12 outstanding engineering projects by Ontario firms and celebrated the important contributions consulting engineers make in improving the social, economic and environmental quality of life across the province and Canada.
The gala celebrated the 15th anniversary of the OCEA which CEO initiated in 2003 to recognize the knowledge, skill and expertise of consulting engineers in Ontario and showcase projects across different disciplines of engineering.
“Over the past 15 years, CEO’s awards program has turned into a well-respected event. 461 projects have been nominated for the awards. All of these projects had significant social, economic and environmental impact and most importantly, improved the quality of life of Canadians,” says Barry Steinberg, chief executive officer of CEO. “CEO’s award program is a testament to what the consulting engineering industry has achieved,” adds Steinberg.
The premier award of the night, the Willis Chipman Award, went to R.V. Anderson Associates Limited for East Bayfront Stormwater Management System in Toronto.
